Description
One of the great philosophers Emile Durkheim observes that when someone dies, the family group to which he or she belongs feels itself lessoned, and to react against this loss, they assemble together and collective bonds are renewed. There is a common misconception that families are not able to arrange for any gatherings or services when cremation occurs. It is in fact very popular to hold full services around cremation, either prior to (in a cremation casket) or after cremation in an urn. Like full service burial, holding a gathering and service allows for you to invite your family, friends and community to support you in a difficult time. This option allows you plenty of time for friends and family to gather. The Gathering may be on one day or two days, and the Ceremony may be held in our facility. Or the Gathering or Ceremony may be held at a third party facility such as a Church of your choice. In addition, the Gathering and Ceremony may even be held virtually. (Additional third party facility or video charges may apply. This option includes our signature professional care, preparation and embalming of the deceased, as well as a procession of family and friends. Reception staff and facilities are also available at an additional cost.
